Updated on June 19! 〰️

The dates below are still accurate. They will not change.

We’ll start setting specific dates and booking activities for the trip in the next few weeks. But for now, we want to give you an idea of what we’ll do while we’re in Crete!

Our vision for each day is to wake up each morning, meet up for breakfast at Palmera, then head out for the day’s activity. We’ll have one main activity/destination planned for each day. We’ll stay at that activity/destination for most of the day, then head back to Palmera in the late afternoon to chill and get ready for dinner. A restaurant will be picked out ahead of time for each night. Upon our return to the hotel from our daily activity/destination, we’ll make sure everyone knows the time to be ready for dinner and the plan for getting to the restaurant. After dinner, we’ll likely get drinks at a bar or club. On a few designated nights, we’ll plan to go ‘all out’ at da club. This means getting bottle service and a table and partying til late late.

One final note – everyone is invited to participate in every planned activity/destination. If you don’t want to participate in an activity/destination that is planned for a certain day, or if you’re planning to be in Crete for only a portion of the time we’re going to be there, that’s no problem at all! We’ll only hate you a little!

Below are examples of things we’ll be doing everyday:

  • Beach Day – There are hundreds of beaches on Crete – some are great because they have really nice, very cheap beach chair rentals with cabanas and a convenient button that you can press to order delicious food and strong drinks, as well as trained lifeguards on duty (iykyk); others are great because they’re the most beautiful beaches you’ve ever seen in your life! We’ll have the benefit of a local perspective (shoutout to Manos and Whitney), so we’ll try to pick a few of both!

  • Catamaran Day – We want to hire a catamaran twice for two full days of boating and swimming in the Mediterranean. It’s so so so worth it! It was our favorite thing we did in Crete.

  • Chill Day – We want to plan for a one or two nights to be “all out” going out nights, so for the days after those nights, we probably won’t have a big activity planned. These are days where you can explore the area around Palmera, go shopping for souvenirs, book some time at the spa, chill at the beach area in front of Palmera, whatever.

  • Explore Day – Crete has some really cool shit. We would love to pick a day for either a hike at the Samaria Gorge, a visit to The Knossos Palace, a day trip to Chania, or a tour of a local olive grove. Feedback on this is very much welcome!

Beach Day!

Beach Day!

Depart Crete. Super sad day.

Brittany Arrives in Crete. Brittany is making a pit stop in London before making her way to Crete. She will leave London and arrive in Crete on July 1.

Wednesday, July 2

Cody Departs from MSY. Cody will leave from New Orleans on Wednesday evening.

Thursday, July 3

Cody Arrives in Crete. Cody will arrive in Crete on Thursday. Brittany and Cody will check into their room at Palmera Beach Hotel & Spa in Hersonissos. This will be a chill day so everyone can settle in and explore the area.

Friday, July 4

Dinner Plans: Find a restaurant on the Hersonissos strip

Beach Day! Lots of people arriving on this day, so we’re going to a beach that’s between the hotel and airport, in case any issues arise and the people arriving need help. Otherwise, people arriving this day should jump in a cab from the airport to the hotel, check in, get settled, and explore the area.

Dinner Plans: Akrogiali @ 8pm

Party Night! Because we’re limited on weekend nights, we’re going to go out on this night after dinner. No big deal if those arriving this day can’t make it out! We’ll have other opportunities to go to the club.

Saturday, July 5

Beach Day!

Beach Day! Everyone should be settled in and ready for another (or their first) beach day! We might also try to visit an Olive Grove on this day. More updates on that to come.

Dinner Plans: Nikos the Fisherman @ 8pm

Party Night! Another weekend night means another night in the club!

Sunday, July 6

Catamaran Day! We’ll head over to Heraklion in the morning and board a large catamaran. The catamaran will take us to another small island near Crete. Once there, we’ll anchor down and play around in the ocean. The catamaran will have snorkeling gear, paddle boards, etc., and will provide us with lunch and drinks. This will be a half-day catamaran experience, so we should be back to our hotel around 2 or 3pm.

Meet at Marina Cafe in the Heraklion Venetian Port at 8:30am to board the catamaran.

Dinner Plans: Romantic Corner Taverna @ 8pm

Monday, July 7

Dinner Plans: Ambrosia @ 8pm

Tuesday, July 8

Wednesday, July 9

Catamaran Day! Like before, we’ll head to the port of Heraklion in the morning and board a large catamaran around 9am. This catamaran will likely take us to a similar spot as before, but this time, we’ll have the catamaran all to ourselves and for the entire day! Food and drinks will be provided by the crew. We will return to port around 8pm. Each person will have to pay around $165-180 for their reservation, depending on the final number of people going. Cody will provide the final cost shortly! Please let us know asap if you’d like to opt out on this!

Dinner Plans: Because we return to the port in Heraklion so late, this will be a night where everyone is on their own for dinner. There are several restaurants in the area, and if you return to Hersonissos to eat, you’ll be familiar with the nearby restaurants by this time.

Thursday, July 10

Dinner Plans: Boy / Girl dinner night. Locations TBD.

Friday, July 11

Shopping in Heraklion. We’ll make our way to the Heraklion city center to explore and visit shops. This would be a great day to get your souvenir shopping done.

Dinner Plans: Xilouris in Heraklion @ 7pm

Saturday, July 12
